Report on PJC investiture!

PJC investiture was a blast!

Such a wonderous experience to get to visit PJC for investiture!

Their theme is "Eco, Voz, Coro", which stands for Echo, voice, chorus.

It has a great meaning as Echo is just a loud noise created by a group people, but each person could put their voice into one, they can form a wonderful chorus! Signifying teamwork and individual's uniqueness at the same time!

Pynx, Zhen Hao and me were greeted warmly by their 8th and 9th councillors at their Patio(sorta like entrance), signed on their guestlist and got our souvenir!

We were quickly ushered to their iggest lecture threatre, LT4 and sat comfortably down at their seats.

We were shown video of the various events in PJC during our wait, so we got a inside look of PJC's activity.

Within a short while, their investiture has started!

A humourous yet inspiration were given by their GOH which proves to be witty yet self-discovering.

Videos of the 8th council memories were shown which proved their council journey had been a very fun time with the time spent with each other.

Next is their handover ceremony and their council song!

Yep, council song, their previous batch of council had composed two songs to pass on to their next generation.

The council sounded so meaningful even towards us, councillors of other school which shown a lot of similarity between us.

Their handover ceremony had a interesting backdrop. As the 8th council pin their council collar pin to their juniors, they also pass a piece of picture to them. Next, the 9th council will go the back of the stage one by one, pasting their piece of picture onto the backdrop, eventually forming a giantic picture of their 9th council.

After the investiture, we had a tour around their campus. Thanks to our really profession tourguides, Tak and MingYao, we had a eye opener towards other school.

For each part of their campus, it was given a name.

library was referred as The Window, General Office as The Helm, Staff office as The Pulse.

Each council had a space n school to leave their legacy behind. For example, the 1st council of PJC had left behind the Patio, a place created by them.

If I remembered correctly, there's a place called Sanctuary, at the top of their school hall, where the AVA room is. Sanctuary is place for students to relax in PJC, a legacy left behind by 2nd council.

Insides were sofas and study table, it can be used for student's relaxtion as well as doing their homework! It is air-conditioned too! At the end of Sanctuary(it's quite big), they had a counter where they sell PJC mechanise such as PJC jacket, or orientation towels, shirt etc.

Outside the Sanctuary is a pool table which students can rent it for a tiny fee an hour.

There were a lot of unused space in the compound, the spaces are still to be explored for more use and to be used for the next councils to develop their legacy!

Bidding farewell to our handsome and chatty tourguides, we left PJC with a smile oon our faces~!
