for all the things we have been thru, in particular the first ever major event - Investiture, i believe we all had different kind of experience. and this experience is sumting that will be left deep in us. MEANING, 1adhoc done, a few more to go and then when we noe it, our term is gonna be over le.
i hope you guys realise that we do not hav much time in JC, and with so much things to achieve in such a short time, there will be times where tiny little misunderstandings, conflicts & problems are bound to happen. its just normal. BUT, always bear this in mind -
MISUNDERSTANDINGS are somethings that can be UNDERSTOOD
if you bother to find out more.
CONFLICTS are when you learn to GIVE and TAKE.
PROBLEMS are issues that you can DEFINITELY SOLVE.
a photo i have taken quite sometime ago. there are two paths - a green and even path that leads to the end BUT is blocked by trees along the way, the other is a rocky, uneven path that clearly leads you to the end.
which path are you gonna choose?
in anycase, it doesnt matter, cos both leads to the end, however, DO REMEMBER, do not regret the path you have chosen - both for YOURSELF and for THE ENTIRE 31st.
to add on to what our dear Jamie had said,
lets RIDE THE WAVE TOGETHER,
no matter how stormy the weather may be,
how much effort we have to put in to steer this 31 vessel,

I have not written a single Gmail to address all of you, but it will be soon. =D Haha. Well, since 20 May 2008, we have taken on the role as Student Councillor... what does it mean to you? why do you still want to be a Councillor even after so many setbacks you faced? how much heavier does your shoulder weighs now? Is the councillor badge SHINING AS BRIGHT AS it is meant to be? how much does the OATH meant to you? Are you ready to light up the dark and blurry path ahead of you? Are you ready to sacrifice every single thing of you JUST for 31st and the college? THINK HARD. You dont have to answer those questions to anyone, BUT, YOURSELF. The day we pin on the Councillor badge (21 May 08, 7.34am), the heart of 31st STARTS beating... i hope this beat will never die down during our term as the 31st.. the beat shall only be LOUDER and REVERBERATE the ENTIRE NYJC! (The heartbeat of the 31st will never stop beating, even after we step down!) I know its the start of a new chapter in your life. A new blank page. How are you going to fill up this page, depends on you! I wanna thank the EXCO for taking up the challenge to steer the boat and also the REST OF THE 31st for taking up the challenge to MOVE THE BOAT! JIA YOU 31st! No one will move the boat by himself... the 29 of us will MOVE THE BOAT TOGETHER! No one shall be left out cos 31st WILL NEVER BE COMPLETE without the 29 of us! "NO MAN CAN WALK ALONE" I KNOW WE CAN DO IT! WE MUST MAKE THE 30th PROUD of us and NEVER REGRET passing the BATON to us! GO GO GO!!
